The Map That Missed the Market
SYM Stories · Season 4 — Smart Living · Episode 3. The shortest route on a screen is not always the wisest path on the ground.

The mapping tool was confident.
This was the shortest walking route to the school.
Then Sym walked it.
At market-opening time, delivery trucks occupied part of the street. Traders spilled towards the edge. After heavy rain, water collected along the route children were expected to use.
The geometry was correct.
The map had simply missed how the place lived.
So Sym listened—to traders, school staff, children and residents. Their knowledge added something the dataset could not: time, habit, weather, risk and memory.
The route changed.
Not because the digital evidence was useless, but because it became more useful when placed beside lived experience.
Smart Living is not data instead of people. It is knowing how to let each correct the other.
